Man on Wire

I am playing nurse Jackie this weekend - for a very ill man flu victim. I have nearly completely recovered from my bout but the T seems to have been inflicted with a much worse strain than the one that i suffered from.

It is a kid free weekend so we have just hung out around home watching movies in bed and generally being lazy.

I know this documentary has been around for ages. It had never really interested me. I didn't think that a movie about a man that had chosen to spend his life balancing himself on a rope would be my idea of interesting.

I was wrong.

This documentary is fantastic and especially exciting if you have a fear of heights - like i do. I hate heights so much that even thinking about riding in that awful elevator up to the top of the Sky Tower makes my legs tingle and my stomach do somersaults.

This was the next best thing to watching a horror movie for me.

My legs tingled all the way through it.

A must see if you are a documentary buff - like i am.

Have you heard about the whole saga of a woman who made up a story of survival on 9/11 and even met with the family of the man who supposedly rescued her, became the face of organisations for survivors etc,but had actually been overseas studying at the time? Its so messed up I think I may have to watch it. Its called 'The Woman Who Wasn't There'

Oh my gosh - i have heard that story but i didn't realise there was a documentary made about it.

I thought it was more of an urban myth.

I am going to have a look for it now. Will watch it tonight and report back if i find it online.

Thanks M.
