Something is seriously wrong with our Justice System

A serial rapist has walked free this morning...

Yep - Paulus Nieuwenhuiysen has been found not guilty of rape.

This drug dealer has drugged and raped hundreds of prostitutes for literally years and when one of those women has the guts to make a complaint to the police - the judge refuses to allow similar fact evidence to be heard, and allows the serious drug charges that he is facing and the rape charges to be tried separately.

This means that the jury never heard about the other women that had the exact same experience with this man that the victim in this trial had. They had no idea that he is banned from several brothels in Auckland for drugging women. They had no idea that he is a drug dealer who is also facing serious drugs charges.

There is something seriously wrong with our Justice System.

I hope that the people that i knew, that knew this man and know what he has done for literally years - like the current medical professional who refused to speak out because he has so much shame in his life regarding his involvement with someone like Paul - and the other women who could have helped convict him but didn't because they still get their drugs off him - are happy.

I will also add - that it is women who run around making false rape complaints that make it that much harder to convince a jury when one does really occur.

O well - i will just keep praying that Paul never kills anyone with that drug that he gives women. That is about all anyone can do now.

My heart goes out to his victim that was so brave to make a complaint and go through this trial. My thoughts and prayers are with her.

I can imagine the disappointment that the Detectives who worked so hard on this case are feeling as well.

Unbelievable.

You are right, the Justice System is seriously not ok. Well done for speaking out. There is hope in the wind but may take some time to have it changed, the Law Commission is currently considering changes that we hope will make it fairer and for the truth to be sort rather than the farce that's happening now. You can view some of the inforamtion on helpsubmissions.wordpress.com or the law commission website http://www.lawcom.govt.nz/alttrials the submissions for this first consultation round closed on Friday last week but we're hoping it will get to the next stage.
My heart is with you and all the other victims of this man.

Thank you so much for posting those links.

I was unaware that the Law Commission were considering any changes like this.

I just cannot believe this man has gotten off. If he can - anyone can.

Dear 60.234.200.224

So far in the past 24 hours you have defended a thief, a false rape claimant, a liar, a psycho who threatens and harasses others, and now a serial rapist - in your efforts to abuse me.

Shall i blog about Ted Bundy next so that you can defend him as well...

This is harassment Jackie, go to the Police.

Jacqueline said...

You haven't seen the half of it Sherrill...you should see how many comments this person has made that i have saved in "awaiting moderation".

This person has spent nearly 6 hours on my blog today.

I can't believe they have stooped to defending this guy though...that just puts all their abuse and insults directed at me in to fantastic perspective.

;-)

This is discusting that your getting abused for trying to make people aware of what hes like. For fuck sake he drugged and rapped me and got found not guilty y the fuck r people sticking up for him. Im sorry people are abusing u jackie.

Jacqueline said...

Don't be sorry.

I seriously doubt that there is anyone out there who actually thinks he is innocent or that wouldn't support you.

Unfortunately - i have absolute nutters that read my blog who will use anything to attack me - even if they have to defend scum like Paul to do that.

Kind of fascinating really - how psychotic people think and behave.

Keep smiling young lady. :)

I will keep smiling. Im just glad the trial is over. Now ive been to court and talked about what happened i find it easier to talk about it to others and how much of a hideous experience i had. I want people to b aware that what he did is wrong and discusting. I want people to know that he is guilty just in the eyes of the law hes not as their wasnt enough evidence for him to b found guilty

Unfortunately the crown had to prove beyond doubt. That is wrong as it is nearly impossible to prove rape beyond any doubt - especially in these circumstances which is why Paul chooses the women that he chooses.

I read on one of the links that Jennifer provided that only 1 in 100 sex offences results in a conviction.

That is just plain wrong. There will always be nutters that make false complaints - i have known women that seem to enjoy the attention from making a false compaint - but you can't tell me that only 1 out of every hundred reported sex offences is genuine.

There are a lot of sex offenders getting off scott free in this country.

Paul is one of them.

Yea its disgusting that their is a low conviction rate for rape in nz its fucken stupid. I wouldnt b surprised if he got out of jail and the same thing happened id b like i told u so

Psycho -

The court did get it wrong. He is a drug dealing rapist. He is not innocent and you WERE defending him in an effort to abuse me.

You spent 13 hours on my blog yesterday and were still name calling at 11 pm at last night.

DO you seriously not see anything obsessive about your behaviour

Can you tell me please - what are some of the good things about stalking me and my blog and defending scum in an effort to wind me up...and name calling...

What are some of the less good things...

Have a think about those two questions...i am offering you some free counselling this morning.

I am good like that.

;-)

Suz said...

Wow..you having sorted out your life is obviously giving your stalkers gut-rot! Pity they couldn't put the same amount of energy into something positive.

Nuff about them...keep your eye on the ball and study, study, study :)

Jacqueline said...

Yep Suz - Happiness and success are the best revenge. I will just keep doing what i have been doing...

I hope Paul's victim remembers that too.

To one of Paul's many victims who earlier commented here: You are a true hero for having the courage to endure a trial, the outcome of which, is a complete travesty of justice.

It's good to hear that you are able to talk about what happened, and please know there is help out there for victims such as yourself...Women's Refuge is a good starting point. Stay strong.

I did get some good news this morning. He is still in jail awaiting sentencing for the drug charges that he was convicted of. Sentencing for that is June 15th.

He then faces another drug trial in October - so it is likely he could stay in jail at least until October when he faces that trial.

Suz - I agree. She is a hero.

Now she just needs to always remember that.

thanks u guys are so supportive

im glad even though he was found not guitly that people do believe what i said happened. i will b skipping the country if he gets out after being sentensed as the judge may see it as time served. i would love to b their when he gets sentensed after hiis next trial but their is no way i could even cope wh eg t uyc

I am so sorry for this happening, i wish there was more evidence that could of been there enough to prove beyond doubt to the jury, and im so sorry the jury were only given the case notes and knew nothing of his past in fact any questions that were asked regarding his past her objected and put aside it makes me sick to my stomach reading about this man.

Anonymous said...

im sure if the jury had known he was on ebail for serious drug charges and knew he had been banned from brothels he would have been found guitly. it makes me feel a bit better knowing he was charged with possession of cocaine and that he is still in jail. im just going to be dredding the call when im told he is being released from jail. the good thing is he wont be out for a long time. i wish they would just deport him back to wear eva he came from

Jacqueline said...

He is Dutch.

I wonder why - after such serious drug convictions - he wouldn't be deported.

Anonymous said...

i bloodly well hope so. why should we have people like paul in our country drugging and rapping women. its sick i hope hes deported and if he isnt ill b amazed. has he even got residency? our jails a full enough of our own criminals y should we hold foreginers in our jails? i just hope he is treated horribly in jail. ive decided that if hes not deported im going to start saving so when i get the call saying when he is getting released im going to skip the country ill b scared he will come looking for me and not only do i need to worry about my safety i need to protect the safety of my daughter

You seriously doubt there is anyone out there who thinks he (Paul Nieuwenhuijsen) is innocent, big assumption to make I would think.

Paul is and has been for many years a good friend of mine. The Paul I know is not capable of this crime, the Paul I know has not been going around Auckland drugging and raping hundreds of women because the Paul I know likes and respects women.

You blog about a man I know well and accuse him of things that make me question we are talking about the same Paul. The Paul I know did like to enjoy himself and he liked to see the people he had around him enjoy themselves, the Paul I know would not give drugs to someone without their knowing not even as a joke.

Too call him a serial rapist, to write the things you do about him without having to prove your accusations bothers me immensely but what can I do it's a free country.

You seriously doubt there is anyone out there who believes he is innocent, you have the right to say what you like but you don't have the right to say for others.

You call drug dealing large amounts of cocaine, meth, and GHB - while getting women that he meets addicted to those substances by giving it to them for free then once they are addicted acting like he owns those women - "enjoying himself"

For the past decade - at least - Paul has been drugging women and raping them - and dealing large quantities of drugs. I know this. You might call that "enjoying oneself".

I don't.

I witnessed him drugging women to the point of overdosing. I (and another person) witnessed him planning the gang rape of a woman in West Auckland in retribution for a drug debt. I was drugged by him myself. I witnessed him smash up a woman's viaduct apartment over a drug debt...I personally know of two women he drugged and raped that refuse to come forward...shall i go on...I have witnessed him with so much drug money that he couldn't count it - he had to weigh it...i can keep going if you like.

The only type of person that would defend this monster is a person who regardless of whether or not it can be proven that he has raped women -- sees nothing wrong with his drug dealing activities. I suspect that kind of person would still need Paul and his friends in order to feed their addictions.

I challenge you to put your name to your comment.

It's very dangerous to say someone just found not guilty is guilty. You are a sitting duck for defamation proceedings.

Jacqueline said...

Hmmmm

If i was David Bain i would get busy suing every single person who has indicated that they think he shot his family for defamation - in that case.

Anonymous said...

To joe the lawyer. How can u say its dangerous aying hes guitly even though he was found not guitly. I know for a fact he is guilty of rape. I was the women to went to the police and indured a friggen trial. Just because the jury found him not guitly doesnt mean it didnt happen. He drugged me wit ghb and i passed out. Once i started comming around he was having sex with me. Yes i know i was a escort at the time but being a prostitute doesnt mean i have have sex. Nor does it give him a blank cheque to do whatever he wants. I have never willingly taken ghb and was shocked it was in my system aftere being drugged tested after being checked at the hospital. In my eyes he is guitly of rape and always will b.

Jacqueline said...

Don't worry about Joe the Lawyer's comment - or get upset by it.

He/She is just one of my psycho stalker's friends trying to intimidate me.

Don't let what that person has said upset you. xxx

Im not going to let it up set me. We both know for a fact hes guilty we have both had horrible experiences wit this clown. Nobodys going to get me down over this. That joe fella is just a clown. Like jane said to me a not guitly verdict doesnt mean it didnt happen. It just means their wasnt enough evidence to convict him

Anonymous said...

hey i was quoted I honestly think the jury had issues with convicting him of rape, due to your previous profession, and the old values " a prostitue cannot be raped" of course we know different but convincing others is hard.
basically the jury and nz system are saying that if ur working as a escort its ok for men to rape them and get away with it due to their proffession. i wont say who quoted this as i have alot of respect for this person
