Lucy Lawless and oil drilling

Ice drilling madness: Lawless

Ink, Crayons, Bubble gum, Dish washing liquids, Deodorant, Eyeglasses, CDs and DVDs, Tyres, Ammonia, Heart valves , Hair brushes, Brake fluid, Paint, Parachutes, Artificial limbs, Life jackets, EVERYTHING made of plastic, Detergent, Flower pots, Hairspray, Umbrellas, Medicine, Lipstick / cosmetics , Shower curtains, Drink bottles, Rollerblades, Insect repellent, Golf balls, Toothbrushes, Toilet seats, Carpet, Glue, Telephones, Bike helmets, Eye glasses, Roads...Etc. Etc. Etc.

I could go on and on and on - all things made with oil. So if Lucy Lawless uses one or more of those things that requires oil - she is a hypocrite.

Oil is in everything and humans need it to survive.

When the oil runs out - we are stuffed - but in the meantime we still need to use it. I challenge Lucy Lawless, Greenpeace, or anyone to go an hour without it.

It won't happen.

Yes it sucks mouldy arse that we have to drain our planet of it's blood to survive. I am all for preserving our environment but Lucy even travelling to New Zealand, making her way to that boat, and using her celebrity status to get Greenpeace attention - used more oil than if she had actually done something productive - like stayed home and worked on the demand side issue because that is the only thing that will stop the oil companies.

No demand = no supply = no profit = no oil companies.

Until Lucy Lawless and Greenpeace start focusing on that - rather than getting their mugs in the news - they are just hypocrites.
