One of my daughters bought his CD with some of her Christmas money.

I could listen to that song all day.
If you don't feel a sense of empathy for drug addicts and prostitutes after listening to that song and watching the video then you are a cold, hard, person.
I still can't believe it when i read stories in our media that attempt to glorify that lifestyle.
I could not believe it when i read that article and the last paragraph went like this;
"Because whether she works in the worst parlour in town or for us, the thought of your daughter working as a sex worker is not what you want for her, and that will take a while to change."
Ugh. Is Mary Brennon for real?
I sincerely hope that i never live in a world that has changed so much - for the worse - that parents aspire for their daughters to become sex workers.
What a repulsive thought.
I can't believe those words even came out of that woman's mouth.

I fail to understand how a highly educated woman ends up selling herself for sex.
You can't understand it because it is not true. That is just what horrid women like this Mary Brennon - who is no better than any other PIMP in NZ and just wants to make money off of other women's bodies and misery - would like everyone to believe.
I can honestly say that during my years involved in that world - i never met one woman who was using the money that she earned to pay University tuition - or study - or do anything else positive with the money that she earned.
The whole educated / student fantasy reminds me of one of Chris Rock's stand up lines - it went something like 'Which University out there accepts tuition in $1 notes and there aint no women wearing clear heals in college!"
It's a myth and an attempt to glorify an awful and demeaning lifestyle that is not any safer now than it was back when it was illegal.
