How pointless is this?

Why bother having a "change point" at all? I mean, if you are going to wipe the birth of Christ out of history then why do you need a change point in the calendar at all?

How ridiculous.

Oh well - changing a couple of acronyms, or the words that you use to refer to something doesn't change the actual thing. The very fact that it is still referred to at all just confirms a belief in it, even more.
