Rotten old fences can be deceptive things...

I am absolutely shattered and going to bed at 8pm. I had a bit of a sleep in this morning...but not much, only till about 10...only! ha...there was a time when that much of a sleep in would have been unheard of for me! Anywayyy...Jorgia and i managed to spend all day out in the yard.

It has amazed me today, how a rotten old fence that is falling apart, and looks like one good kick would knock it over, took us all day to pull down. It was a pointless bit of fence, that stuck out from the main fence that surrounds our section. It was covered in a vine that we have been pulling out, due to the fact that it was strangling all of the healthy trees within 20 feet of it. The fence started falling apart as soon as we started pulling the vine off it, so we decided that it should go as well.

I liken that fence...to the likes of my Grandma on my mother's side...a frail old lady who was legally blind but could spot a 5 cent piece in the sand, when none of the rest of us could see it. A frail old lady that could not bathe herself, but who's heart doctors described as healthier than their own.

The fence was like my grandma...it looked like it was about to fall apart all on it's own, but it took us all day to pull it down...and it is still not done. Not that i ever tried to pull down my grandma or any...thing...but...you know what i am saying...right? haha

I need to attack the last post, with an axe! For reals.

I am so tired and my back is sore...and before i start getting a complex about being old and having a sore back, i will have you know that Jorgia's is sore too!

We worked hard today. I am going to sleep so soundly tonight. Yay.
