This is the worst thing the government could do.
Forcing the price of P up is not going to help the victims of crime, and not the users of the drug...the only people this will help is the manufacturers and importers of the bloody stuff! Hellooooo??? Anyone home???
The Police and the Government either just don't get it, or don't care, or worse want this epidemic to get worse.
A methamphetamine addict does not care how much it costs. If they did, then no one would become addicted to it in the first place! They will go to any lengths to get it. The only thing pushing the price up will do, is create more p related violence, and more crime, because addicts will be that much more desperate to get the money to feed their habits.
Making it more expensive will not stop an addict from getting their hands on it. It will just make the extremes that they have to go to, in order to get it...that much worse.
Nice one John Key... i bet you have the vote of all the gang members, p cooks, and p importers in NZ!
