NZ prostitution for debate at Oxford

NZ prostitution for debate at Oxford

New Zealand's prostitution laws are to be debated at the prestigious Oxford Union in England.

Next week the Prostitutes Collective national co-ordinator, Catherine Healy, will enter the debating chamber in England to argue that prostitution should be legalised.

Against her will be a top British policeman and a conservative American lobby group, the Dominion Post reported.

Former prime minister David Lange came to the world's attention after he memorably defended New Zealand's anti-nuclear policy at the Oxford University institution.
Please. Someone enlighten me.

Tell me exactly what difference, other than it not being quite as lucrative, because there is so much more competition for the prostitutes, and more choice for the men, decriminalising prostitution, in New Zealand made? It was never actively policed anyway, even when it was illegal.

What a waste of time. I just summed up the whole "debate" in 3 lines. Sometimes, ridiculous things like this, put me in a bad mood.

The whole world has gone mad.

I think i will go back to sleep for a little while!
