I almost slept through it!

I NEARLY managed to sleep through the New Year celebrations. I would have succeeded, had it not been for the huge amount of fireworks being let off around my home, for ages at midnight...and then sirens at 2am and 4am.

It was a good effort though. I even turned off my phone so that i didn't get drunk, mass texts at midnight. I am about to turn it back on now.

I have no time to write anything this morning. I have to jump out of bed, whip up a pasta salad, and hit the road for the day.

I hope all my friends and family are having the best start to this decade ever.
