No i am not hinting at AC/DC ticket donations! ummmm yeah...how 'bout this weather? I LOVE it! Thunder and lightening reminds me of home.
They have the meanest electrical storms at the lake cabin in Idaho. When my grandparents bought the cabin in 1954, it was only a small one bedroom cabin with no indoor plumbing.
Now it has three bedrooms, lounge, separate dining room, fireplace, big kitchen...AND an INDOOR toilet! Also added to the outside is gorgeous decking and a garden shed. (yay for the indoor toilet...that walk to the outhouse in the middle of the night was scary) ...that is all thanks to the electrical storms that they get there and the insurance that paid out every time lightening struck a tree and fell on it, over the years. This is a true story.
The girls are watching Outrageous Fortune, and i am sitting on my bed, enjoying the view of the little storm that we are having from the warmth of my cosy pad.
I have been busy today. Had an appointment at WINZ. I decided that i am going to get back to work soon. Well try to. I will start looking for a job soon. I feel well enough again now. I think it will be beneficial for me to feel like a tax paying, contributing member of society again. My only concern is having to take time off to go to court. Apparently these things can drag on forever, and that concerns me.
I then did a couple of laps around the Panmure Basin. I used to always run around the basin before i met Danny. It brought back memories of other things...doing that again. So i made use of my new running shoes and the ipod. I LOVE my ipod...don't know how i lived without one now. Music is one of my favourite things and it ALWAYS seems to make things better. Music always cheers me up and makes me smile. I should have bought an ipod years ago....well when they first came out anyway. I had purposely avoided them till now because i thought i was too much of a technophobe to work out how all that music fit in that tiny little thing. haha. I love my new toy.
I picked Jorgia up from her friend's place in Howick, absolutely soaking wet because it poured on me during my laps around the basin. I had a nice long soak in the bath when we got home. We all had my vegetable soup for dinner, and now i am getting nagged at to give up my laptop.
They have the computer and tv going in their bedroom...the tv in the lounge is taken over by Outrageous Fortune...and now the child in the lounge wants my laptop or else her animals on "farmville" might die. Oh dear. We can't have that.
I have had a good day. I feel good.
