The first day of spring...

YAY! but ummmm why is it so damn FREEZING today? How do you employed people drag your asses out of bed in the freezing cold like this every morning? Holy crap it's cold today.

The Mount Eden apartment must have been so well insulated, because i remember people always talking about what a cold winter it was...last year, as well as this year. I would sit in there day in and day out with my heater on and it felt like the tropics to me. I never noticed last year, or until i moved that it even WAS winter haha.

I remember that weekend that we had that huge storm that closed down roads and stuff last year. Freedom Furniture was having a huge sale that weekend, and i went down to buy some things for the apartment. I remember walking out of Freedom carrying my bags of shopping. I turned right to head back towards Broadway and i literally got lifted off my feet by the wind.

I got back inside my apartment a half hour later and stayed inside. I watched all the effects of the storm on both islands on TV, but from the comfort of that hideous apartment you would never have known there was anything going on outside.

It stayed so warm in there and with all the windows and curtains closed there was never any noise. I could have been in Siberia for all i knew when i locked myself in there. Maybe that was why it was so easy to do that. Close the windows and curtains and isolate myself in there, only going out at night, all year this year.

Here, i hate getting out of bed cause it's freezing outside of my bed and i hear the wind in the trees all night long. I LOVE EVERY MINUTE OF MY NEW LIFE IN MY NEW HOME.

It's a REAL home.

Anyway...i have to drag my sorry ass out of bed in the next 15 minutes. This afternoon, i will be one step closer to having a clean slate, and forgetting the mistakes that i made this year.

PS...D got out of hospital yesterday. She spent 3 days with an IV pumping two different antibiotics into her and she needs to carry on antibiotics for the next three weeks. She could have died had she not gotten to the hospital on Friday. She wanted to drop some money into me last night for all the running around i did for her on Friday, when she made some. She was out last night making money doing deals again. I told her not to worry about me and to just keep herself safe, and worry about herself.

I hope she is OK this morning.
