I have just had a bath and am in my bed. I am so tired and full of the flu. This time yesterday i was in Auckland Hospital. I spent the night there last night. I always thought that going to hospital alone...without a loved one by your side to care would be awful...but...it made it easier in a way. I didn't have anyone that i didn't want to leave me there. I was not worried about anyone being bored while we waited forever...
The doctors and nurses there were absolutely wonderful. So lovely to me. When i arrived i had a 40 deg temperature, dizziness, was lethargic, and had super duper low blood pressure.
I basically just hopped on a bed and laid there while they put an IV in my arm and filled me full of 3 litres worth of saline. Apparently i was dehydrated. I tried to sleep while they wheeled me and my gurney...off for chest X Rays. Stuart the X Ray dude was so nice ...i wonder what my implants look like in those x rays? haha
They gave me lots of medicine to bring down my temp and raise my blood pressure. i was not allowed to go home until i peed in a cup. I was so dehydrated that it took 3 litres and till morning for me to be able to do that.
They let me out this morning. I think that was the most pleasant visit i have ever had in hospital. I just slept and let them poke me with needles...got to lie there and listen to all the dramas that they have there on Friday nights...then i woke up...peed...and went home to continue my move.
I am feeling pretty sick and exhausted again tonight. I have been trying to keep the fluids up ...and eat too...i have never appreciated a bowl of Kraft macaroni and cheese before...like i did today. My whole body aches but tonight i have extra medicines and stuff and don't have to move anymore stuff.
First thing i did was put my bed together...lucky i rarely have sex these days because i did a pretty crappy job of it. The screws are all still sticking out and the bed all wiggles...but i am being careful...so hopefully it does not collapse on me before someone that knows how to use a screw driver pops in to say hello.
I am NEVER moving again. I don't like moving home like i used to. I am not a fan of change...i love this little place. It reminds me a little of our place out in Waiuku...The bedroom is the same set up ...the kitchen and bathrooms are pretty much the same...the kitchen is smaller but the bathroom is bigger.
I need to sleep for a week. I am so tired.
Anyway...I'm super duper coma'd out. oh and i need to say YAY to telecom for not making me wait till Wed to hook up my wireless...good stuff.
Goodnight.
